Jan Witter'S Sour Cream Apple Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. chopped nuts (your choice)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. cored, peeled and chopped apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Preparation

Blend flour, sugar and margarine until crumbly.
Add nuts. Press 2 3/4 cups mixture into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Combine remaining mixture with the rest of ingredients.
Stir in chopped apples.
Spoon over crumble base.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
Top with whipped cream or powdered sugar, if desired.
