Peppermint Surprise - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. peppermint candy
1/2 c. light cream
1/2 Tbsp. plain gelatin
2 Tbsp. cold water
1 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
1 can chocolate cookies
Preparation

Crush candy; add light cream.
Heat in double boiler until \"mushy\".
Add gelatin, dissolved in cold water.
Chill until partially set.
Fold in whipped cream.
Break cookies in half and line sides of pan.
Line bottom of pan with cookies.
Pour in half of peppermint mixture, another layer of cookies and rest of peppermint mixture.
Top with cookies.
Chill 12 to 24 hours.
