Baked Empanitas(Apple Turnovers) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    6 to 7 Tbsp. cold water
    3 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. thick chunky applesauce
Preparation
    Add flour, salt and shortening.
    Cream butter with cream cheese until fluffy and mix with flour mixture until a smooth ball is formed.
    Wrap well with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
    When removed from refrigerator, roll out dough on floured surface.
    Cut 3-inch triangles (or round).
    Place 1 tablespoon of applesauce on each round, fold over and seal edges.
