Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. roasted peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. vinegar
    3 qt. popped corn
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, molasses and water.
    Cook until it forms a soft ball in water, then add vanilla, vinegar and butter.
    Cook until it turns brittle in cold water.
    Pour syrup over popped corn, tossing kernels apart with a spoon.
