Silver White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 2 or 3 layer pans (8 or 9 x 1/2-inch) or an oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
    Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in sifter.
    Put in mixing bowl.
    Add shortening, 2/3 cup of milk and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl constantly.
    Add egg whites one at a time, beating batter for one minute after each egg white.
    Add the rest of milk and beat for another minute. Pour into prepared pans and bake layers 25 to 30 minutes, oblong cake 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
    Cool 10 minutes in the pan.
    Frost with seven minute frosting.
