Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Keep popcorn hot in oven (300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0).
    Butter sides of saucepan.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cook to hard ball stage (250\u00b0).
    Pour slowly over popcorn; mix well to coat all kernels. Make balls (press) using shortening or butter to keep from sticking to hands.
