Pickled Cucumber And Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. cucumber (sliced thin)
    2 c. onion (sliced thin)
    1-1/2 c. sugar
    1-1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
Preparation
    In a glass bowl or crock, layer cucumber and onions.
    In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, salt, mustard, celery seed, and turmeric.
    Bring to a boil; stir until sugar dissolves. Pour over cucumber and onions.
    Cool.
    Cover tight.
    Refrigerate for 24 hours.
    Store in refrigerator for up to a month.
