Charlie'S Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. cubed beef or ground beef
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. chopped green peppers
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. tomatoes
    1 3/4 c. tomato sauce
    2 1/2 c. cooked pinto beans, drained
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    up to 1/2 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
    1/8 c. vegetable oil
    4 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. oregano
    up to 5 tsp. Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    Marinate beef for a few hours in beer and then drain.
    Brown beef in hot shortening.
    Add peppers, onions, tomatoes, tomato sauce and beans.
    Cook 1 hour.
    Add spices.
    Cook 2 more hours.
