Sausage Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 lb. raisins
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. cold water
    3 1/4 to 4 c. flour
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 lb. brown sugar (2 1/4 c.)
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix sausage, sugar and spices.
    Boil raisins in water until only 1 cup of fluid remains from original 2 cups.
    Add soda to 1 cup of fluid from raisins.
    Add to sausage mixture.
    Add flour and mix well.
    Add raisins, nuts and dates.
    Mixture will be very stiff.
    Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
