Vegetable Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large carrots, peeled and sliced
    2 full c. English peas (fresh or frozen)
    2 extra large potatoes
Preparation
    Place prepared carrots in a stew pot.
    Cook until almost done. Add peas and potatoes.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add 3 tablespoons of good cooking butter.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients are done and tender.
