Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced potatoes
    3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 qt. rich milk
    1 onion (optional)
    salt and pepper
    2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and onion in salt water until tender.
    Add milk and butter.
    Heat (don't boil).
    Just before serving, add chopped hard-boiled eggs.
    Serves 6.
