Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 pkg. Lipton onion soup
    2 Tbsp. tomato puree
    18 slices Velveeta cheese
Preparation
    Quarter, core and boil cabbage until just tender.
    Drain.
    Set aside.
    Brown ground beef in skillet.
    Drain fat.
    Return to skillet; add tomato puree and onion soup.
    Mix well.
    Spray a 13 x 9-inch pan or baking dish.
    Place a layer of cabbage leaves to cover bottom.
    Spoon 1/2 ground beef mixture over that.
    Arrange 9 slices of cheese over that.
    Repeat the layer; reserve enough cabbage leaves for the top.
    Place in 350\u00b0 oven and bake 35 to 40 minutes.
    This is a great make ahead dish.
    Freezes well.
