Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

1 German chocolate cake mix
1 bag caramels
3/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts
6 Hershey bars
Preparation

Melt together caramels, butter and milk. Prepare cake mix according to directions on box. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
(Don't overbake.) Pour on caramel mixture. Break up Hershey bars; sprinkle on batter. Top with nuts. Pour on remaining 1/2 batter. (Pan will be full.) Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides of pan.
