Cocoa Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. granulated sugar
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. milk
    1 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar and cocoa in a saucepan.
    Stir in both milk and butter.
    Cook over medium heat; stir constantly until mixture begins to bubble.
    Cover.
    Cook for 3 minutes without stirring. Uncover and stir gently.
    Continue cooking; stir occasionally until candy thermometer registers 236\u00b0 or until a small amount of candy dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
    Remove from heat and let cool for 15 minutes.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat candy until creamy and thick.
    Pour into a buttered 9-inch square pan.
    When cool and firm, cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
    Yields 36 squares.
