Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    30 Club crackers, crushed
    1/2 c. oleo, melted
    2 onions, thinly sliced
    1/4 c. oleo
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    dash or 2 of oregano
Preparation
    Mix cracker crumbs in 1/2 cup melted oleo and press into a shallow 9 to 10-inch pie plate.
    Saute onions in 1/4 cup oleo until clear.
    Pour over crust.
    Sprinkle cheese over onions.
    Mix milk, eggs and seasonings well and pour over cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until it is set like a custard.
    Cool before serving.
