Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1 pt. milk
    1 1/2 c. bourbon (not blended)
    2 oz. rum
Preparation
    Beat yolks; add 1/2 cup sugar and beat until sugar is dissolved.
    Beat whites until they are very stiff; add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until sugar is dissolved.
    Mix the whites and yolks.
    Whip the cream and stir cream and milk into the egg mixture.
    Very slowly, add bourbon and rum.
    Stir well.
