Churn Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. medium size cucumbers
    1 box alum
    1 box pickling spices
    2 c. pickling salt
    5 lb. sugar
    vinegar
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and place whole in clean churn.
    Cover with water and salt.
    Be sure all cucumbers are covered with the water. Set aside for 10 days or 2 weeks.
