Fried Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 or 3 large sweet potatoes
    2/3 c. water
    1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 stick oleo
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and slice into skillet (do not use an iron skillet).
    Add water and cover.
    Cook 3 to 5 minutes, then add sugar and oleo.
    Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
    Cover and cook over moderate heat until tender.
    Remove cover and stir until syrup is slightly thick.
