1-2-3-4 Cake (Old Fashion) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter (1/2 c. butter and 1/2 Crisco)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. flavoring
1 c. liquid (1/2 milk and 1/2 water)

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients three times.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
Makes 3 layers.
