Creamy Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. (3 c.) onions, quartered and sliced
    1 medium carrot, shredded
    1 chicken bouillon cube
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. water
    pinch of nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk or light cream
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    In a large saucepan bring to a boil the onions, carrot, bouillon cube and water.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Blend flour and 1/2 cup of water until smooth.
    Stir into soup.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
    Add the 1/2 cup milk and margarine; stir until margarine is melted.
    Serve.
