Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
    salt to taste
    4 jalapeno peppers, chopped (optional)
    1 c. corn meal
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 small onion, grated
    1 (17 oz.) can cream-style corn
Preparation
    Season beef with salt and saut in heavy skillet.
    Drain; set aside.
    Combine cheese, corn meal, salt, onion and peppers in large bowl; mix well.
    Stir eggs into milk.
    Add to dry ingredients and stir just to moisten.
    Spoon half of batter into greased 2-quart casserole.
    Place beef over batter and top with remaining batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
