German Sweet Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. German's chocolate
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. butter, softened
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. evaporated milk
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cake:
    Melt chocolate in 1/2 cup boiling water.
    Cool.
    Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla; cream 1 cup butter and 2 cups sugar in bowl. Beat in 4 egg yolks, 1 at a time.
    Stir in chocolate mixture; add flour, soda, salt and buttermilk, mix well.
    Fold in 4 beaten egg whites; pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes, or until cake tests done; cool.
