Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. butter
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    8 1/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. soda
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together.
    Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar and soda. Add to creamed mixture and blend well.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, then roll into 6 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon.
    Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    Balls will flatten.
    Makes about 18 dozen.
