Brown Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
1 medium onion, diced
2 c. uncooked Uncle Ben's rice
1 can beef broth
2 cans chicken broth
1 can water
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. dried basil
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0.
Melt margarine in a large casserole dish.
Cook onion in skillet until it is translucent. Add rice and stir briefly over low heat until grains are coated with butter.
Stir in broth and water, making sure there are no lumps in the rice.
Add salt, pepper and basil.
Cover with close-fitting lid and place in oven.
Bake 17 to 20 minutes.
If rice is not to be served immediately, keep dish covered.
Makes 8 servings.
