Cream Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. water
    1 c. flour
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Put shortening and water in 2-quart saucepan and bring to boil. Add flour and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    When mixture gathers into a mass, remove from range and place into mixing bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each egg.
    Place in mound on greased cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches apart.
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Remove from pan.
    Place puffs on wire rack to cool.
    Take a sharp knife and slit a small hole in base of puff. This permits steam to escape and keeps puff from falling.
