Fresh Fruit Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mint
    zest of 1 lemon
    2 c. strawberries
    2 c. cantaloupe
    2 c. honeydew melon
    ginger
    champagne
    lemon slices
Preparation
    Bring to a boil 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup sugar until consistency of syrup.
    Add 1 tablespoon mint and lemon zest.
    Turn off and cool.
    Mix together all fruits.
    Pour cooled syrup mixture over fruit.
    Add fresh ginger.
    Let sit for 1/2 hour.
    Divide fruit into tall glasses (can use champagne type).
    Fill glass with champagne or dry grape juice to cover fruit.
    Garnish with fresh lemon slices.
