Yankee Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans sweet potatoes in light syrup, drained
    1 c. thinly sliced apples
    1/2 c. fresh cranberries
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 c. walnut halves, toasted
Preparation
    Cut sweet potatoes crosswise into 1/2-inch slices.
    Evenly arrange half of sweet potatoes in shallow, 1 1/2-quart, microwave-safe pan.
    Top with all apple slices.
    Layer remaining sweet potatoes over apples; reserve.
