Williamsburg Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. softened butter
1/4 c. shortening
3 eggs (1/2 to 2/3 c.)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch or two (9-inch) or 3 (8-inch) round layer pans.
Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl.
Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pans.
