Applesauce Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. applesauce
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Melt shortening and chocolate.
Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and applesauce.
Blend together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix with first ingredients and stir in nuts.
Spread batter in greased 10 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
