Judi'S Shepherd Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 small onion
    8 to 10 mushrooms
    1/2 pkg. frozen peas
    1 small pkg. Tater Tots
    1 cup grated cheese (Cheddar or Velveeta)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Brown meat (can use turkey) with onion and mushrooms.
    Spread in bottom of baking dish.
    I like to use a big iron skillet.
    Top the meat with a layer of frozen peas, a layer of Tater Tots and a layer of cheese.
    Add milk, salt and pepper.
    Bake, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Cheese should be melted throughout. This dish is a favorite with kids!
    Serves 6 to 8.
