Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. broken walnuts
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In 6-quart saucepan stir together sugar and milk.
    Add salt. Cook over medium-high heat to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium, stirring only 2 to 3 times, cook to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Add margarine, peanut butter and vanilla.
    Do not stir.
    Place pan in cold water for 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture starts losing its gloss.
    Add walnuts; beat mixture until very thick.
    Turn into 7 x 9-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm.
