Ingredients

1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
3 medium bananas
2 eggs, separated
30 to 40 vanilla wafers
1/4 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Combine
pudding
mix,\tegg
yolks and milk.
Cook over medium heat,
stirring
constantly,
until it comes to a full boil. Remove
from heat.\tLayer wafers and bananas in a 1 1/2 quart dish.
Pour
pudding
mix
over all.
Beat egg whites at high speed of mixer until frothy.
Add sugar slowly, continuing\tto beat
until
stiff\tpeaks form.
Spread over pudding. Bake at 450\u00b0 until lightly browned.
