Quick Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. fat
    1 c. scalded milk
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 beaten egg
    3 to 4 c. plain flour
Preparation
    In a large bowl put cool liquid (scalded milk, salt, shortening and sugar cooled to lukewarm); add dissolved yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
    Cool.
    Add to flour to make a batter.
    If dough is not stiff enough to knead, add more flour.
    It may take all four cups of flour.
    Cover; let rise until double in bulk.
