Crackling Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1 c. cracklings
Preparation

Combine cornmeal, soda and salt, mixing well.
Add eggs, buttermilk and bacon drippings; stir until smooth.
Stir in cracklings.
Place a well-greased 9-inch square baking pan in a 450\u00b0 oven for 3 minutes, or until hot.
Remove pan from oven. Pour batter into pan.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
