Leek And Bacon Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 leeks, washed and thinly sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
6 slices Canadian bacon, chopped (or regular bacon, chopped and cooked)
3 Tbsp. butter
1/3 c. flour
4 to 5 c. chicken broth
1 c. cream or milk
salt and pepper
Preparation

Combine leeks, onion and bacon in large saucepan and saute in butter for about 5 to 6 minutes.
Add potatoes.
Stir to combine, then add flour.
Gradually stir in broth until smooth.
Bring to a boil and simmer for about 15 minutes.
Add cream or milk and cook until potatoes and leeks are soft.
Serves 4 to 6.
