Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oats
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening or 1 stick oleomargarine
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour hot water over oats and let stand while you mix cake. Combine the sugars, shortening and eggs.
    Add flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Mix all ingredients well, then add the oats and beat well.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Bake 35 minutes at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean.
    Good with no frosting.
