Breakfast Cake(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 large Tbsp. Crisco
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and shortening.
    Make into crumbs.
    Set aside 2 large handfuls.
    Add 1/4 cup brown sugar and the 2 large tablespoons of Crisco for top crumbs.
    Beat eggs; add milk and mix lightly.
    Do not beat.
    Put into two pans; top with crumbs and bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 until done.
