Cracker Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites, beaten until frothy
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. crushed soda crackers
    1 c. nuts
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tub Cool Whip
    pie cherries or strawberries or any fruit filling
Preparation
    Add to beaten egg whites the cream of tartar and sugar.
    Beat until glossy, not stiff.
    Fold in crackers, nuts and vanilla. Place in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cool.
    Add as much Cool Whip on top as you want. Carefully add cherries or fruit filling on top.
