Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ginger
2 eggs
4 Tbsp. melted shortening
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix sugar, nutmeg, ginger, eggs, shortening and flour.
Next, mix baking powder and baking soda with buttermilk and blend together.
Refrigerate for 2 hours and then roll out; cut and fry.
