Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. yellow squash (about 10)
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. chopped onions or to taste
    1 stick butter/margarine
    1/4 c. sugar
    salt to taste
    generous dash of pepper
Preparation
    Cut squash into large pieces.
    Boil until tender; drain and mash (leaving some chunks).
    Mix with remaining ingredients and pour into 3-quart casserole dish.
    Add additional buttered bread crumbs on top and bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 60 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Serves 10.
