Corn Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Eggs
    2 c. Flour
    3/4 c. Shortening
    1 tsp. Baking Soda
    2 c. Corn Meal
    2 c. Sour Milk (or milk with a little vinegar)
    1 c. Sugar
    Pinch of Cream of Tartar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, eggs, and sugar together. Continue to beat alternately adding combined dry ingredients and milk.
    Pour into 2 loaf pans.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
