Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
3 c. cake flour or plain flour
1 can or 2 pkg. black walnuts, crushed
1 c. milk
2 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1/2 tsp. baking powder, mixed with flour
Preparation

Let butter soften to room temperature.
Use a fork to mix sugar, butter and Crisco together very thoroughly.
Start with a mixer.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Start adding flour and milk, alternating, mixing well. Add flavoring last, then use a spoon to mix walnuts in last. Start with cold oven.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
