Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    2 c. Bran Buds
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 pt. buttermilk
    1 c. All-Bran
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
Preparation
    Pour water over Bran Buds and let stand 10 minutes.
    Cream the sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs, Bran Buds, buttermilk and All-Bran. Mix dry ingredients and add to mixture.
    Add raisins, dates or nuts as desired.
    (I use 1 package chopped dates and 1 cup pecans.) Bake as many as you need at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes in greased muffin pan.
    Keep refrigerated tightly covered and bake as needed. Keeps up to 6 weeks.
