Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    2 c. fruit (fresh or canned that has been drained)
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Cream together 1/2 cup sugar and butter.
    Add baking powder, flour, milk and salt.
    Line 8 x 8-inch pan with grease and add fruit.
    Spread dough on top of fruit.
    Add 1 cup sugar over top of dough.
    Then pour 1/2 cup water over all.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 34 to 40 minutes.
