Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. peeled and chopped yellow onion
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. hot milk
    1/2 lb. dried chipped beef
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    freshly ground black pepper to taste
    Tabasco sauce (optional)
    1 Tbsp. dry sherry
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter and saute the onion until clear.
    Stir in the flour with a whisk and the hot milk, stirring all the time, until the mixture thickens.
    When the mixture is thick, add the remaining ingredients; heat for a moment. Serve over toast.
    Makes 4 servings.
