8 Pounds Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. baked beans (Northern)
    1 gal. ketchup
    4 lb. brown sugar
    1 qt. king syrup
    1 Tbsp. minced or fresh onion
    1/2 to 1 tsp. nutmeg
    4 lb. bacon
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight until soft, but not mushy.
    Drain.
    Mix the rest of the ingredients except bacon in pan and cook. Cook bacon and cut into pieces. Add bacon to the mixture at the end of cooking.
    Pour over beans.
