Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plain corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. cream-style kernel corn
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 small can green chili peppers, drained and chopped
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add these ingredients to the corn meal mixture and pour over half of the combined mixture into a hot skillet.
    Sprinkle cheese and chili peppers over the mixture. Pour remaining mixture over it and bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
