Toffee Nut Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft shortening (half oleo)
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar thoroughly.
    Stir in flour.
    Press and flatten in ungreased oblong 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
    Let cool slightly, then spread with Nut Coconut Topping.
