Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    1 pkg. Nestle chocolate chips
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Pour brown sugar in bowl.
    Pour melted butter over and mix. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add nuts and chocolate chips to flour to coat, then add to sugar/egg mixture.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 12-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 about 35 to 40 minutes.
    These will collapse in middle of pan, so don't think you have done something wrong.
