Grandma'S Cinnamon Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. lukewarm milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 pkg. active yeast, softened in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg beaten
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix together milk, sugar and salt.
    Add yeast softened in water.
    Stir in egg and shortening.
    Mix in first with a spoon and then by hand the flour.
    Let rise until doubled.
    Punch down and let rise again.
    Roll out dough into a 10 x 15-inch rectangle. Spread with soft butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Roll as a jelly roll.
    Cut into 12 equal slices.
